Shattered Alley is an Intermediate - Advanced feral dog roleplay. We have a 200 word minimum for every in character post. We have been around for a couple years; and [rerere] re-opened in the beginning of February of 2008. You are free to join a pack of your choice or roam the streets of Phereio City as a rouge. Although, there is a twist in this beautiful setting. Phereio suffered a horrible earthquake, and is now shaken to its limits. Few humans still colonize in small parts of the suburbs, but everywhere else: disaster has written it's name.

Singing the death song –– SINGING death’s MeLoDy.
~` The moon sat high in the sky. The stars smiled down upon the world that lay below them. The sky was navy, darkened even further by the ebony streaks and splotches that were sprinkled heavily across the wide, vast sky. The texture of the navy and black sea that lay above the world was creamy, the eerie moon floating in the sky, merely lonely except for the stars company. Standing, staring into the void of sky that hung above her head, was a Border Collie. The fem’s head was perfectly shaped, the entire skull slimming down up ‘til the muzzle, where it narrowed drastically, the pin-like maw hanging in the air, the black nose that ended it twitching and sniffling, drawing in and inhaling the scents of the territory. Her ears were semi-prick, always perking up in the air, their silky fur painted a cold ebony color. A pin-thin stripe of blazing ivory starting basically from the back of her skull, stopping and slowly dissolving as it met the wet, cold flesh of her black nose., glowing like a silvery flame in the moonlight. But, upon this gorgeous face, something was indeed off... the moonlight shone weakly upon her entire face, and, the texture of her delicate skin was scarred. Marred deeply, certainly throwing off any attractiveness of her face. Extending from her face, the collar of white wrapped around her neck, leading down to her chest, her belly bearing a snowy white, and oddly the tip of her tail was purely ebony. A large, hefty buckle-collar hung from her throat, it’s leather texture scraped and battered, obviously not a matter of importance any longer. Her body was lithe, lean, made of a athlete. Scars covered her entire form, and she didn’t feel shame. Not one bit. And, many had asked her why she didn’t feel shame or disgust over these scars. Indeed, she felt the horrendous disgust deep in her gut, but only because of how she’d received them, but no shame. Her owners’, some harsh couple whom raised her and Lilly for herding as the main priority, had beaten her. She’d gotten in a minium of fights before, and was truly none of that. Her jaw was hard, her optics of a glacier blue and warm brown emotionless. Pity? Pity was sickening. She needed none of that. Her gaze swept over the large building in front of her, large trucks parked toward Brown Industries main building. She shot a glance toward the rusty fence that was behind her, and the building glowed ghostly in the cold moonlight. Stepping forward, the lean Collie padded toward the large, rusted building door; the metal door hanging loosely from it’s hinges. Gazing back over the sprouts of grass, and the vast pavement, the metallic and rusty objects sharp edges hidden in the grass... pushing through the doors, Flash’s gaze cast over the interior of the building... ghoulish, and some place, perhaps, she’d fit in. Somewhere, where only rats’ and vermin inhabited it’s insides.
~` The almost inaudible noises of her nails clicking with the tile-like flooring of Brown Industries, her mis matched orbs blazing, her semi-prick ears perking further forward. Perhaps, she thought with a low growl, I do need someone to sympathize with me. Maybe, I need pity. I’m not so sure... at least not anymore. And, for the moment, maybe she’d be content with not knowing who she was.

It had become somewhat of a second home. The cold, crumbling concrete walls filled with all kinds of decrepit, rusting metal equipment was not a place for many dogs. In fact few would consider you crazy to want to be in a place such as that. And so, maybe that was true. At the very least he knew he wasn’t completely sane. Any dog that had thoughts run through their head like he had surely couldn’t be sane. It’s these thoughts that grate away at his sanity. He laughed under his breath at the thought.
His maroon tainted white paws came to a flying stop as his gallop collapsed to a trot and quickly stopped by the main gate to the building. Nose tilted towards the ebony sky as he breathed in deeply the cold, strange air that was unique to the area. His amber eyes were closed due to the brightness of the moon’s light but opened once more upon lowering his head and proceeding past the open gates. Something felt a little off… An extra smell? Perhaps a sound? Something was new…
He padded forward slowly making his way across the concrete lot before the broken building, his shadow following close behind. Before he could purge himself of any demons he would have to make sure this strange presence wasn’t another dog… His ritualistic mutilations were secret nobody was to know of. Not like he had anyone who would really care for his wellbeing or that he worried that someone did. He wanted to keep what little pride he had left protected. If others were to learn of how he rips into his own flesh at night, they might want to know why and then they might learn of how he is a monster inside. How he has a passion for those of the same gender that he has never felt for a female. A deformity of the mind indeed and enough reason for ridicule and banishment from Dire.
He pushed his way past the thick metal doors of the entrance, allowing his shadow to be consumed by the darkness of the building and stopped. The only light coming from large windows near the factory ceiling. In a mere moments time he was able to see with the pale lighting. His folded ears perked forward, listening to the sounds of the building, as his amber eyes scanned the interior for the difference. All he could hear the sounds of metal settling and the winter winds blowing through the broken glass. A smirk spread upon his face. Maybe it really was just nothing but paranoia.
His favorite spot was up in the catwalks where the blood would not pool at his feet but fall from the grates below him. Taking a deep breath he could still faintly smell the dried blood from times past. He began to trot forward with new ambition and set destination… That was until he seen her silhouette. Quite obviously a female… A young border mix like himself most likely. He snorted with frustration. She wasn’t supposed to be here. But none the less he would confront her. It shouldn’t take much to scare her off.
With that he stood solidly a few yards behind her and spoke in his unusual soft male voice,” Heh. What is this?” A false smirk appeared on his face as he trotted forward and past her to face her front on. “What’s a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this? Didn’t anyone tell you it’s dangerous to wander in the dark alone?” His smirk extended to bare his teeth as he spoke, slowly circling in closer to her as he spoke in his most seductive, dangerous voice. He had no interest in her sticking around… had no need for a female… but this tactic had worked for him in the past.
Puppet: Reno Words: 775 Muse: Will be better once we get rollin'. I'm still getting used to playing a male... even if he is gay. Thoughts: For a second time I appoligize on taking super forever to reply. Just before I got home from work yesterday a dog jammed my index finger on my right hand. I actually thought it might had been broken until today because it swelled up and hurt so bad. It's still really sore but it's not too bad to not type so I finally got this one out. ^^;

The bi-colored eyes snapped to the face and frame that now hovered dangerously near her. Her lips wrinkled up over her teeth in a sign of dominance, and she growled through her teeth slowly, letting it slide like a mere hiss, “Didn’t anyone ever tell you that you aren’t that terrifying?” It was obvious that this female was a battler, and her eyes gleamed with a sort of morbid irritation. Her gaze whisked over his body, stopping smugly as the scars were spotted — she wouldn’t mention it ‘til he said something else. The retort hadn’t been the best she’d ever used, but annoyance had won the best of her at first, and she couldn’t reflect long on coming up with a smart and snappy comment. Her jaw was rigid, and the cold light that brimmed her eyes darkened as he circled her, her alert gaze catching each movement; by the looks of it, he kept his appearance very well kept, and he looked to be of Border Collie origins himself.... his voice was lighter, softer than most males, which was rather unusual — her thoughts didn’t meet and click to make any conclusion, simply reflected on the facts that were right there, smack in her face. Her plume was covering the hocks over her feet, sticking closely to her hindquarters, and her optics had narrowed sharply. She would admit his facial mask was made up of attractive colors, but it didn’t spark interest in her, or at least not a lot for that matter. Her semi-prick twitched, swivelling to perk forward, listening to his faint and soft paw-pads hit the ground as her circled her frame, her gaze still remaining slitted.
As cautious, irritated, and hesitant as she was, she was also curious. A chill shivered down her spine, perhaps from his lurking presence, or maybe it was just the winter’s air, but her paws felt as though they were trembling. What if he decided to take advantage of her? She’d never feared it, for she wore quite a few battle scars herself, and deemed herself capable of outwitting them and running far away, but he was the mix of her breed, Border Collie, and she assumed their amount of intelligence hung at about the same level. That annoyed the crap out of her, to say the least. But, curiosity had won the best of her, and it indeed could be a rather deadly thing. Measuring his expression, she allowed her face to be molded into a smooth facade of cold and emotionless appearance, hoping desperately that her irritation at him wouldn’t break her carefully played out scheme of acting as if she didn’t even care. She attempted to unlock her hard jaw, and with little success she managed to slightly release the pressure. He was annoying, and this seemed obvious as her eyes trailed over his body, he looking like she, though with much more correct markings than she held on her frame. “Besides,” She spoke again, vocalizing with a rather hard voice, “I’m not afraid of the dark.” She now realized she was being strange, almost flirting with the male, which was not in her personality.
Darkness engulfed them both, making them appear to be extremely dark shadows, though minimal shine on their blackened coats gave away the secret, along with some ivory and tan, on him, colors. The moonlight’s white, pale light reflected, the moon’s rounded disc reflecting within her eyes, and the hostileness still radiated from her. She was used to this kind of thing, yet all at once she wasn’t, and the navy sky made her more comfortable than she would’ve been under the sun. She was merely used to walking by moonlight, when it seemed both the safest and most dangerous time of all, when the nocturnal creatures played — yet somehow she still loved the sun. A chill tingled along her spine, waking her further, though she seemed unfocused. Unfocused from him, unfocused as the world was chaotic and whirling, and somehow a peace had settled within her gut.

He continued to circle her as she first spoke. Exposing his young, stark white teeth and catching her eyes with a threatening glare, each pass he made. Letting each step fall against the cold concrete in a confident stride. All the while, he attempted to make it appear as if he was sizing her up.
Scouring every inch of her with his eyes, attempting to intimidate her and make her leave. It wasn’t until she spoke, did he notice the stance she had maintained and realized his attempts were futile. And flaws began to appear in his façade appearance. His low hung tail began to twitch with aggravation and his eyes would leave her momentarily in disgust with himself for failing to scare her off with the first attempt. Reno didn’t like to physically injure other dogs unless he felt a true need for it and the only thing she was guilty of was being at the wrong place at the wrong time… at least for now. The tight circles he made around her began to widen. Concentrating on thoughts more than actions his eyes faltered more, he failed to threaten her with his fangs and his pace slowed. Then he suddenly stopped.
It wasn’t so much her words this time but her voice. A unusual rise that he had never heard in a females voice before. He took a few steps back to get a good look at her. Narrowing his eyes with his smoldering amber stare. What was with this girl? She wasn’t like a dire who would have turned on him and immediately attacked for acting the way he did… And she didn’t run off whimpering like most lone femmes did. She almost seemed slightly pleasured and yet was still put off by the attention he gave her. Very peculiar… Almost interesting…
Hmpf. He snorted through his nose letting a hot cloud form in the cold air. With that he turned and slowly disappeared into the pitch black shadows, in which he blended so well. Had he not had prior arrangements he would have certainly enjoyed toying with her more just to see how she would react. Just to find her all buttons and exactly how to play on her emotions. He had yet to find just the right female to toy with just yet. Afterall, there were a few things a female could provide him with that a male could not. And he knew all too well that he was not hard on the eye.
Aw. What the hell? Why not? He stopped moving. Still deep within the shadows, he looked over his shoulder to see her silhouette illuminated by the moonlight through the windows. “Hun. It’s not the dark you should be afraid of… It’s what lurking in the shadows.” He let his voice drift off and sink into the abyss around them. Purposefully he swept his tail along a metal machine, allowing the soft noise to echo in the silence. “In the dark of the night evil will find her…” He whispered softly with his strange voice, as he was making his way to the metal staircase, allowing his nails to click against the frozen concrete on the way there. “In the dark of the night, evil will brew…”
The staircase was made of metal with raised steel bumps that had clearly been weathered over time. Rust had almost consumed it and even eaten away at a few spots. It shouldn’t be safe for any creature to climb but he had greater concerns than that of his life and safety very rarely crossed his mind. Reno began to ascend the stairs towards the catwalk, the metal moaning with each step, until he stepped in a pool of light that descended upon the decrepit construction. “Soon she will feel…”
The moonlight shone much brighter here. He looked back over his shoulder to her and then turned fully around. The light caught in his eyes and made the shadows look much darker, the female lost within them. He had wondered momentarily if she had left before the true fun began but a short breath confirmed her presence in the area still. He took one more step into the light, cast down upon him in a way that would have been extremely flattering, much like a fallen angel… had it not been for his fore legs that were so scarred that his black fur barely grew in patches there. The dark creature continued unaware and without care that one of his many flaws was being displayed. A cocky smirk appeared on his face as he whispered once more into the dark, hoping to hook her on his tone,” That her nightmares are real…”
Puppet: Reno Words: 787 Muse: Better now. Thoughts: Bleh, I hate it when life gets complicated and leaves little time for roleplay. Literally I've been continously working on this post until now in like ten min spans... >.>; Anyway I hope you still want to continue, if your plans have changed just let me know.
I had an idea and wanted to run it past ya, what if she became his false love. Like he treated her like he would a female mate and she thinks he is her mate but he's actually still looking for a guy on the side. X3; I thought it would be interesting to play out if I could actually find him a boyfriend and then she finds out about it. Otherwise we can continue with them being friends with benefits after they fight. I think I set this post up so it'd work perfect either way.
Oh and I took some lyrics from Disney's Anastasia for the last few sentenses he spoke. X3; It's a little cheesy I know but I thought they were befitting.
