Shattered Alley is an Intermediate - Advanced feral dog roleplay. We have a 200 word minimum for every in character post. We have been around for a couple years; and [rerere] re-opened in the beginning of February of 2008. You are free to join a pack of your choice or roam the streets of Phereio City as a rouge. Although, there is a twist in this beautiful setting. Phereio suffered a horrible earthquake, and is now shaken to its limits. Few humans still colonize in small parts of the suburbs, but everywhere else: disaster has written it's name.

The haunting figurine stood by the stained and dirtied glass window, her silhouette clearly visible to the world outside the old church. Her general appearance seemed incredulously weathered, near zombie-like; something a bad omen or ‘wraith’ would look like. The husky hybrid’s thick fur was mangled and matted, askew in various areas and some tufts even missing here and there. There was an assembly of scars scattered all over her body in a morbidly decorative manner, the most striking of them being a deep, dark stitch running jaggedly from her forehead down between her eyes and then below her right eye where it came to an end on her upper right cheek; and what a macabre imprint it left on the canine, for the stitch work symbolised the work of mankind, a species Wraith held great resentment for, for it was them that caused the need to be stitched in the first place and the now-Dire captain had nearly paid the price with half of her vision.

Her fringed ears were in no less a worse-looking condition than the rest of her bodice. Both were chipped multiply, the left listener even bearing a hole with a diameter close to an inch. The ears twitched excitedly as she alertly listened for a passerby, a confrontation of the pleasant or more common offensive sort. A long, serpent-like tongue ran over the malformed and jagged rows of fangs, saliva pooling in the killer’s kisser and dripping from her ebony lips down to the stone floor below. The cerulean eyes cast a wary glance outside the filthy window, a narrow pupil shooting its vision into a certain direction as she caught the movement of a life-form; it was a brightly-lit, full-moon night and the time of day allowed Wraith to be fully in her element. And so she callously awaited the trespasser, her haunches touching the ground, sitting like a spider awaiting an insect to fly into the nigh-invisible net. Her shoulders protruded behind her spine in a near sickly matter, her dial held low with both aqua pools gazing ghastly into the darkness of the old church, the only noise being her inconsistent, irregular and rapid panting and the trickling of thick, fluid drool as it hit the decayed marble of the church ground.

Darkness filtered through at every corner, seeping in and suffocating those with it’s cruelty, due to the creatures that murdered and tortured around such areas. Trees were thick, leaning and swaying against all natural beings there, leaning on each other as the wind scarcely brushed their bark and tugged on the green leaves that rustled on the branches. She didn’t belong here. It was all black, green, darkened colors, and in the mix of such things was a chestnut colored canine, dulling white marking her chest and such, her feminine, petite form looking like the size of an ant because of wide, towering trees. She had wandered here. Unwelcome. She didn’t know where she was, only that she was in a place where most would not dare venture; she’d never find her way out of here, never to civilization. But, true as that may be, the rest of this tumbled and cracked city was not civilization. It’d come a long way from that, now that dark and merciless beasts roamed the streets. It was probably so much different from what it used to be, but, the fem named Scandalous would know nothing of such things; she’d been born after the earth-quake, she believed, for in her puphood she did not remember hardly anything clearly. Stones with moss — a path, perhaps? A line to follow back? But with the direction she was going in, obviously it was possible she was about to meet death itself, in dog form. She believed she’d heard of such a ‘famous’ leader, the one of Dire, but how was she, so young and so very senseless, supposed to know that she was now on Dire territory? Short breaths blew sharply from her chest, making a light whistle as it hit the air, eyes a bright shade of yellow flickering one way to the next, waiting for lurking danger; of course, she didn’t have that much sense, and tried to calm herself, remind herself that looks could deceive. Like herself. A shrill, screeching of a type of bird sounded like nails against a chalk-board, and she winced, cringing, lurching her body forward. To escape it all! How could she have been foolish enough to wander into such a open and free trap? She was rather afraid, fearful, now. But, of course, those merciless Dire’s relished in fear, loving it and probably hating it all at once — though, had such monsters ever developed that emotion before? The answer was clear in the fem’s head, like a bell ringing; no. Probably not. The trees whispered words of despair into the air, wailing and calling for lost ones, the sticky ground beneath her paws holding an alarming odor — death, metallic blood. Not an entirely horrifying stench, considering it could be either good or bad. In this case, Scandalous knew it was most likely the bad.

Every intake of breath was colder, making her throat and chest sting with fire, though she wondered if such suffocating darkness was merely an illusion. The Dire pack, had they always been bad? Some of them, maybe, and other’s not so. She found her mind riddled with thoughts of those beastly dogs as she traveled through the swamp-like area, though she stated to herself with shaken calmness that she had no earthly idea if this was the place they inhabited. But, indeed, it was. The ground only got softer, only got sticker as she continued onward, the stench seeming to rise to the vast heavens, the sky, that was concealed above; for a moment, her brightly colored eyes flicked up, yearning to gaze past the dark canopy of branches and leaves. Her ivory paws were covered with damp mud, slicked with the feeling, whilst her frame shivered and wavered with the moisture that left the ‘forest-like’ area sodden, dampened, with wetness, obviously leaving the dark even more cold. Finally, she’d broken through the fringe of the trees. There before her, was a broken and battered church; her paws carried her inside it’s decaying form, but what she saw was even more shocking. A beautiful husky stood there, eyes colored like blue ice and as cold as it was on fragile paw-pads, though the fur was in a messy disarray, covered and cursed with too many scars too count, along with much, much more visible ones along her cheekbone and ear and such, though her alert stance obviously searched, scanned for something to play with, a weaker to intelligently confuse it’s muddled and confused mind. Her mouth opened, but no sound escaped, her view taking in stained and dirtied windows, rotten and splintered benches, old books, and overall a decaying base.

Was her future suddenly coming at her fully, now?
