Shattered Alley is an Intermediate - Advanced feral dog roleplay. We have a 200 word minimum for every in character post. We have been around for a couple years; and [rerere] re-opened in the beginning of February of 2008. You are free to join a pack of your choice or roam the streets of Phereio City as a rouge. Although, there is a twist in this beautiful setting. Phereio suffered a horrible earthquake, and is now shaken to its limits. Few humans still colonize in small parts of the suburbs, but everywhere else: disaster has written it's name.

The sky was enlightened with clouds that dappled the sky. Cascading shadows of the clouds scattered across the crumbling city of Phereio, with its many canine inhabitants. Sunlight streamed through the water vapor of a cluster of ominous dark clouds, which was an odd display of shadows and light. A lone canine sat before this scene, to observe this odd spectacle. The sunlight sliced into the clouds, as if it were the brave nobleman slaying the fierce scaly beast, known as the dragon. Slowly but marvelously the clouds splayed apart revealing the warmth of the sun showering the observer known as Sadie, the canine of the Solarai gang. Sadie normally stayed at Headquarters, but the day offered to many fruits of opportunity to truly miss. Sometimes the birds of a feather may flock together, but Sadie was the bird who decided to be different today.
As the brilliant rays of the radiant light warmed her soft yet unclean chestnut fur, Sadie noticed a crumbling building. Of course there were more than many decaying buildings in Phereio, but this particular one was quite different. The tower of debris which littered the entrance had a strange air of elegance to it. Sadie gazed in awe at the building taking every visual detail into her mind storing it for a life long memory. The architecture was riveting, and quite detailed. The paint had faded, but the color difference was still distinguishable. The gold coloring clearly complimented the shade of red once used to give color to this, sculpture type building. Unaware of what lay inside the walls of the building Sadie climbed the tower of debris, and weaved through jagged fragments that once built into the frame. De ja vu had hit Sadie in a wave of realization. She had been here before when she was a pup. She distinctively remembered her mother allowing her and her siblings to explore some sites in Phereio. She had taken her here before, and she believed she had called this a theatre. Sadie managed to identify the entrance. The doorway and frame, both had the same beauty to them as the entire place did itself. The aroma of dust and debris flared in her nostrils, causing Sadie to release a violent sneeze, sending more dust and any other small particles ascend to the air. Sadie looked to the ceiling and was awestruck by the fine craftsmanship. Even though there was hardly a ceiling left to marvel over. Rows of weathered and worn seats lined up side by side, all pointing to a large platform ahead. Some of these seats were crushed under massive weight of a fallen ceiling. Sadie tilted her head curious of why the seats were here. She climbed into a seat that was untouched by the mass destruction that had once unfolded in this remarkable theatre. She looked around everywhere else and then upon the large platform. She saw some places were caved in and other were merely standing strong but it looked unstable for one to trek across.
Sadie's curiosity emerged from within herself once more and she made her way toward the broken platform. Sadie noticed the stage had once contained beautiful art on its decrepit frame. Tattered curtains hung from the ceiling and scattered it self on the platform as well. Sadie vaguely remembered her mother calling the platform a stage. Sadie leaped upon the stage in a great leap and skidded toward a massive hole which caved inwardly. The dim light where the sun peered through slowly vanished into darkness for Sadie had fallen into the Stage. She dared not let panic control her, so she acted quickly by looking for a way out. A small hole was spotted at the base of the stage and Sadie crawled for it, and poked her head out. She scrabbled with all she had to get out, but one situation after another, she was stuck. She suppressed a yelp of panic but then released a loud bark to at least attempt to alert someone to help her out. She continued her stream of pleaful barks and then silenced herself. Sadie released a small whine. Of course....Of all dumb luck, I was lucky enough to find a way out, but misfortunate enough to become trapped here. Well, it could be worse. Now let see what can top this very misfortunate ordeal. Sadie thought of all the worst case scenarios inside her head could be, and the most worse possibly event that could occur now, is to run into a Dire gang dog. Something she would never want to happen.
words:817 characters: Sadie and anyone else who wants to join her terrible misfortune, but lets leave the number of characters to 3 muse: Wonderful notes: A Dire gang canine would be pretty funny to just show up right now, but like I said anyone can join.

And when it rains, On this side of town it touches, everything. Just say it again and mean it. We don't miss a thing. You made yourself a bed At the bottom of the blackest hole (blackest hole) And convinced yourself that It's not the reason you don't see the sun anymore
And no, oh, how could you do it? Oh I, I never saw it coming. No, oh, I need the ending. So why can't you stay Just long enough to explain?
;;
The sun’s rays were warm, despite winter’s constantly biting winds. The sun was laid out against the pinkish sky in a gorgeous array of colors, few spotted clouds pushing their way into the sky’s beauty, the ashen colors of the sheep-like clouds sparking different ideas in the heads of the creatures, perhaps for a freezing winter rain or so. Many reveled in the artist’s hues that splashed in the vast sky, but a single femme had ignored it coldly, her attention mainly for the building a few steps away from her, it’s crumbling and decaying elegance drawing, what seemed like, all in. The beautiful female was a extremely malnourished, boney thing, the bones often could be seen jutting from within the skin, under a coat of blue-black tints and hues, along with tan-ish creams along the way. Her lovely facial mask of cream held a regal appearance, but her personality wasn’t what her appearance said whatsoever. Her bodice was rigid, the scent of another beast rushing into the nostrils that flared wildly as they began to search for this creature, searching it out if not for the blood that sloshed icily through their veins, or perhaps for the racing hear that was the sign of mortality, or better yet that you were not six feet under. Her sleek, tan-cream colored paws met the tile floor, debris and rubbish littered throughout the entire width and length of Phereio’s theatre. The overall decaying appearance of the theatre had caught her eye, and now that she was within it’s interior she realized the stunning building had eventually gone to rubble — as everything does. Wooden beams and planks lay untouched upon the ground, along with other artifacts, and few perked her interest. Her oddly colored optics glared out into th rays of light that peered through many, many wide holes in the once gorgeously arched ceiling, and she knew soon the light would fade, leaving this place lit only by few stars and perhaps a crescent moon, where a single sliver of the moon would be missing, and the sky would be stained navy blue and black. A sigh emitted from deep in her chest cavity, her cold and harsh eyes staring at the debris once more, before moving into the more center room where the theatre’s stage and chairs laid waiting.
Padding into the stage-sort of room, her gaze cast over the scarlet, crimson chairs, their gold fringing patterning together in a beautiful array, whilst golden banners and paint marked the walls, arch way, stage, and anywhere else, and scarlets and crimsons of hues like fresh blood, or perhaps bright flowers. Arachne’s ears perked as she looked on coldly, for the well-hearing ears had caught the faint, pleading yip and yaps of a single dog — perhaps the one she had so curiously tracked down, planning to stay a good distance away and simply watch without a spark of interest, but now she was more curious as the situation lapsed into a replay of the cries, finally ending abruptly in a dead silence for what seemed like an eternity. The slender animal’s plume was raised over her spine, alert pricking her entire silhouette as if a thorn or a needle, her slightly stained ivories revealed to a near full extent as she listened. The dog, indeed, sounded as if it were panicked or injured as a fact. The soft click of her nails sounded, and her lanky and long limbs trotted with a unease pace, her cold eyes constantly flickering from side to side, and she leapt upon the stage, skidding to a rough stop as her paws almost slid into mere air, her heart racing and pounding against her rib-cage. Breath coming out in sharp pants, she glared down into the pitch black hole, her harsh eyes narrowed to a line, and could hear the whines tart up once again — much closer now, as if underneath her footing. Her jaw locking coldly, a low growl rumbled from within the core of her throat, her plume sitting toward her ankles, in a fearfully defensive stance; “What are you doing?” She snarled, her lips raising and wrinkling up over her teeth, and many would’ve labeled her cold and uncaring exactly at that moment. Using her lanky limbs to peer over further, a sigh emanating from Arachne’s chest cavity, she wondered if she could reach the creature without going fully into the blackened hole itself. “Stay still, stop wiggling, I’m going to attempt to help you.” She uttered nearly inaudibly, opening her jaws and snapping them gently into the black air, a bit of light streaming into the hole to give her some reassurance from the blindness. Her teeth finally met in a patch of fur, and she tried to drag the femme from the even tinier hole which she’d gotten stuck in. Pulling her and lifting her out, Arachne nearly slid herself, sending a scowl toward the dog that now sat before her.
[NOTES]] muse:; Eh, pretty good surprisingly. words:; 800 something =D puppet:; Arachne. for:; Sadie||Shila and any others. comments:; It’s not too great, but it’s my first post with her and I’m still a bit tired; it’ll get better, I swear And, sorry Arachne’s so irritable in this one, it’s just sort of how she is.

[ஜ] Silently, Sadie had given up on the most desirable freedom of being released from the darkness of which she found herself being trapped within. The harmless appearance of the stage seemed so inviting to Sadie, and she just wanted to explore her surroundings. Depressing thoughts of perishing within the theatre seemed all to real as Sadie's future. The faint tapping of canine nails upon debris of wood and metal sounded in Sadie's ears. She had been trapped within the stage for many hours she was beginning to believe she was becoming delusional. The faint sound grew quicker in pace and suddenly a thud arose form the top of the stage. Sadie decided she would make a feeble attempt to escape the darkness before she lost her sanity, and then she heard a voice. Sadie jumped at the sound of the canine, and then more words soon followed. The feeling of airborne rushed through her body and she was lifted from the hole as well from being stuck. Normally, Sadie would dash away from an unknown canine, but she was to disoriented to run away from her savior.
[ஜ] Sadie shook the dust from her pelt and noticed the canine scowling at her. What had she done wrong, besides falling in a hole? Sadie had not cried for help or even asked for it. Still, she did not want to cause her rescuer to think that she was spoiled and was to proud for thanks. "I humbly thank you for saving me.....Any favors or requests and I would be more than happy to help you to show my thanks...." Sadie spoke in her normal voice, after spending nearly a long while whimpering and barking she would have expected to lose her voice. Still, this stranger did not seem to enlightened in mood by the good deed she had done for Sadie. "I do not want to seem disrespectful but you saved me, aren't you at least proud of what you done?" Irritation struck her as if a flea had found its way to her flesh and bite her with an intense bite.
muse;- high puppet;- Sadie notes;- I don't mind the way Arachne's attitude, I think it will easier to role play with for;-Flash, and one more person if anyone else wants to join in

A refulgent sun ushered in an hour of repose for all who resided in Phereio, dulled only by the widespread feathers of clouds. With light snows or showers here and there it was calming to have the blessing of such a star before winter could bleed the city dry upon arrival. Curse it. There has never been a year when the season fails its quest to wither the reigning plant and animal life within this urban sanctuary. Greedy lips sucking the sweet liquids from a juice box, stripping a place of it's natural beauty and leaving gray scale mayhem in it's wake. Therefore, the sun's life-bringing appearance is vital to any organisms, big and small. It is understandable that vagrant canines too make time in their schedule to bask in it's might. From the tranquil air arose a punctual sound. Anonymous paws buffeted like lead on the uneven, split cement sidewalk which he stalked as male dog curved right onto an expansive street; a trash strewn alleyway to his back. The beast's bored austere orbs were aimed straight at the Phereio Theatre. Not a soul gathered here today, Phereio is quite spacious; sometimes canines did not encounter each other for days, and most preferred to keep it that way. Some are smarter doing so because confrontation is liable to end badly. And with the Dire pack evidently doubling their members, one cannot act too carefully, especially when friends are difficult to come by. Swift and steady winds blew against the rouge's russet form, shadowed in patterned dashes of onyx. His pair of caramel optics were masked in dark brown, cutting back at the corners to mesh with a black mask that rounded his large dome. Bouncing lightly as he sauntered, advancing with brisk ease, are his almost black floppy ears. Half-breed he was, his shoulders indicating his range to be between large and medium. In this case, heavyset would not describe him well. Lean, yet hardy, muscles stretched over the male's back, thighs, and anywhere else it was required. He was still less than a year and not full grown. This fact may prove enough to evoke wonder who his parent's were. Although, rest assured, you wouldn't want to get within fifty yards of them. "Dire" has inevitably gone to their heads.
Just a wiff and you'll find he does in truth belong to the Dire gang, but did not consider them as a happy family(immediate family the exception), and avoided a few of the harsh stereotypes. It was healthy to have fear of them though. Come to think of it, their bonds could easily be broken if canines used their quick-tempered minds to turn them savage, forcing teamwork out of the question. He was very much free to do and say what he wished whenever it pleased him. Jumping over a busted piece of cement, a carefree grin touched his gentle features. Frayed banner held high in obvious delight, he reached the welcoming shelter of the theatre, not stopping his rhythmic stride. Forget the door, the whole wall was collapsed in heaps of man-made materials. His lithe legs moved efficiently as he twisted deeper into the demolition site, stable footing his forte. Walnut globes sparkled with recognition of the place, searching out every corner and hallway he crossed, it was nice to be back. He reminisced of when he found safety within the building once before, even if briefly. He surveyed the area as he moved, intrigue sparking him to slow at points in the tour. He glanced upward to the second floor the landing piled in ruins but the main structure remained standing. Gold-flecked paint layered the pillars that revealed sculpted angels and elaborate decor accented with crimson. Fancy, quaint. He rounded the last corridor entering the audience of chairs, a symphony of red and gold thread. The theatre had flow to it. Humans were crafty creatures, but they've mangaged to get themselves into all sorts of trouble, and here the theatre was abandoned for canines. The putrid rotting of cloth of the seats where rain had seeped into it's seams attacked his sensitive nose, the dust level also dangerously high. Nevertheless, there was always something of new interest to him. For a moment he detected the scent trail of two females, and could deduct that at least one was fairly recent. Ten, fifteen minutes or so, give or take. He lowered his head to follow as a self-righteous smile emerged. He lumbered about the chairs, not on them, and sighted them after clearing a large piece of ceiling. He was pleasantly surprised that they were both together; one smaller and chestnut colored, the other, a combination with tall legs.
Tar kissers slanted in a friendly smile as he formed words, "Excuse me, ladies. You're looking lovely today. Can I be of any use? Fluffy plume brushed dust, wagging consistently. Donavin attempted to read their emotions and picked up a hostile vibe from the dark femme. Confusion nearly washed over him, he approached them, but instead he spoke again, "Pardon my intrusion, I didn't mean to take you by surprise..Did I?," his face muscles relaxed innocence bright in his coffee toned pools, taking turns flickering to each canine. Suddenly he was urged to speak, "Do you two know each other?

The multi-colored female listened as the slender, chestnut colored female which sat before her thanked her. “No,” She said, her voice shattering off the demolished building, “there’ll be no need for you to do anything for me.” She listened more carefully now, pools fiercely glowing in dim light, narrowing as she spoke the words. “Proud of my work? Perhaps,” She whispered, suddenly thinking of the sister which she had not saved. “At least, I wasn’t late this time.” As she spoke these words, her lyrics sounded agonized, bitter, but the emotionless facade gave away nothing; “I’m sorry, I apologize for my rudeness.” Yet, the vocals were still harsh, cold, though perhaps not as hard as they’d once been. “And, what is your–.” As soon as she was saying the words, a voice interrupted, one young, ringing with freedom. ‘Be of any use?” She turned the dark gaze toward the speaker, a young male, tan and well muscled though lean. “Surprise? Not at all,” She said, perhaps her mutter lined with a bit of sarcasm, though she carried on, “No. I do not know her.” Her eyes were still alert, though this was not visible in her expression or eyes, and she wondered wether or not to give her name away. What could it hurt? She’d already lost, basically, everything. “I’m Arachne.” She didn’t sound cautious, but she was really faltering with caution that felt like wriggling maggots in her stomach. “And you are?” She asked suddenly, her gaze averting to stare at the crumpled walls. The building, she noted to herself, was once filled with life and colors which were now dulled, though some scarlets and golds were bright and untouched by waking dullness. Her figure was slim, like a slithering reptile that planned things, things of the utmost devious lies.
She watched him, his tan frame broad and obviously male-like, not the least bit feminine, even if soft puppy features still touched him. He smelled of something dark, something that lurked and shrieked with darkness... something that was lined with insanity and torture. She’d heard of the devils, the Dire’s, the ones whom ran with Lucifer and the demons — a old dog, she thought of the elderly creature with pity, had told her such things, however far-fetched they might’ve seemed to a newcomer, such words were nearly the truth. She swallowed, before boldly stating, “You’re from Dire pack. Yes? I recognized such scent,” She uttered — rather that a accusation or a statement — and stood there, bold and waiting for the beast to lash out if he pleased. She felt little fear — most likely reason being that she didn’t know what dire’s were capable of, even if he didn’t injure or murder her — his odor still in her nostrils; wether the scent was pleasant or disgusting wasn’t clear, it was merely distinct. Her darkly colored head remained high in the air, thought she felt as though the ground below her paws was crumbling, leaving her to fall into bottomless blackness. Her dimming, dulling orbs flickered toward the forms of the other dogs that sat near, a soft sigh littering her chest as she spoke; “And, what brings you here?” Wether she meant the little chestnut female or the muscular tan and black puppy, she didn’t know.
Something. Something crippled her mind as she tried to think of who the pup reminded her of, someone she’d never met or witnessed, but instead someone she’d been told of – by that old dog? A... a bad dog, someone that was a murderer of Pherio or something. Perhaps her imagination had gotten the better of her, but...

Slightly meditative waves circled the usually complimented handsome male of an assorted browns and black. The dog to his right answered. Perking a single flop-ear accordingly when the peculiar painted lass channeled her condescending tone across the dead air. the As much as he tried to act indifferent, he shifted paws, more than a little uncomfortable in her trepid gaze. Should he be back with Dire right now, what are they up to; he's been out of touch with his family tree and what that shows about his true nature What the dires would say this and what they've already hinted at Questions how much she knows about the Dire pack Doesn't want to give away his hollow shell/ lack of evil too much as if he's worried he'll be challenged Senses her attitudes on life and how she commands respect because she's tall(stately, statuesque), it's all new Guesses she's covering for something Comments on her ever-changing facial expressions (mentally or out loud) Is too engrossed to address Sadie WHIP!
muse-->we'll see words-->6__ for-->Flash(Arachne) & Shila(Sadie) other-->fumbled on speech 1st time, how's my 2nd attempt? Remember, he's infamous for being a ladies man.....I'm overjoyed to be back!
